CALL FOR PROPOSALS (PÁLYÁZATI FELHÍVÁS)
1. General Information
On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pécs (PTE Általános Orvostudományi Kar - PTE ÁOK), and in accordance with the goals of the Medikus Sports Association (hereinafter: the Association), the Association is announcing a call for proposals for the year 2025 to support competitive and recreational sports activities, in order to achieve the goals set out in its founding document. All administrative tasks related to the application (issuance, receipt, decision, notification of applicants, contract signing, disbursement of funds, accounting, control, etc.) fall under the authority of the Association.
2. Goal and Background of the Support
The purpose of the application is to improve the health status of UP MS citizens, widely raise awareness of a healthy lifestyle, encourage sports activities, ensure the necessary conditions for establishing and maintaining a healthier, exercise-rich lifestyle, facilitate participation in various competitive and recreational sports events, and support the purchase and repair costs of sports equipment and gear necessary for their activities.
3. Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Hungarian and foreign citizens with a valid NEPTUN code from the PTE Faculty of Medicine (ÁOSZ, FOSZ, Biotechnology MSc), Faculty of Pharmacy (Pharmacy Program and Biotechnology BSc), or the Clinical Centre (KK), including full-time and part-time lecturers, staff, full-time students, and doctoral candidates.
4. Form and Provision of Support
The Association provides non-refundable financial support to the winning applicants. The funding will be transferred (pre- or post-financing, based on a pro forma invoice, against an invoice) depending on the method of utilisation of the awarded amount, and based on consultation with the winning applicant. The applicant must specify the amount of support requested from the Association. Every application amount will be evaluated individually!
5. Amount of Support
Maximum 200,000 Ft for individual applications.
Maximum 1,000,000 Ft for group applications.
6. Eligible Costs
Rental/leasing fees (real estate, vehicle, equipment, gear, etc.), road usage fees, participation (or registration) fees, entry fees, accommodation costs (and associated mandatory breakfast and tourism tax), personal car reimbursement, passenger transport, sports jerseys unsuitable for everyday street wear, special shoes, meals, and service fees.
7. Non-Eligible Costs
Investment expenditures, renovation expenditures, taxes, legal consequences, personnel costs, debt servicing, tobacco products, alcoholic beverages.
8. Submission of Applications
The application material must be submitted electronically by filling out the downloadable form on a computer, scanning the signed copy, and sending it to the email address msepalyazat@gmail.com as separate documents. The subject line "PÁLYÁZAT" (PROPOSAL) must be indicated. An applicant may apply for multiple programs simultaneously. For group applications, the group or team leader is entitled to submit the application.
The application must contain the following documents:
- Completed application form,
- Certificate of employment or student status no older than 30 days,
- Detailed budget (part of the application form).
In the case of incomplete applications, the Association may call upon the applicants for a single opportunity to supplement the missing documents.
9. Application Deadline
Continuously, between September 1, 2025, and November 30, 2025.
10. Method of Application Evaluation
Applications will be evaluated by a 4-member committee (hereinafter: the Committee), which will select the winning applicants. The members of the evaluation committee are: the President of the Medikus Sports Association (or their authorised representative), 1 representative from the PTE ÁOK Physical Education and Movement Centre, 1 representative from the ÁOK Student Council (HÖK), and 1 representative from the GYTK Student Council (HÖK). The Association may make the following decisions regarding accepted applications:
- Support the application,
- Partially support the application,
- Reject the application.
The Association will consider the provision of self-contribution as an advantage!
Applicants are advised that the budgetary framework for the call is defined and limited. Should the awarded support amounts reach the available total budget based on the received applications, the opportunity to submit further applications for the year 2025 will close. The Association will provide information on this and the start of the next application period on its website.
11. Deadline for Application Evaluation
Within 4 weeks from the receipt of the application. The Medikus Sports Association will notify the applicant of the decision via email.
12. Deadline for Utilisation of the Awarded Support: December 31, 2025.
13. Control of Support Utilisation
Reporting: Successful applicants are obliged to account for the utilisation of the support by submitting a report. During the period of cooperation, winning applicants are expected to implement their commitments and appropriately represent the Association.
In the absence of this, or if the commitments are not realised or not fulfilled, the support may be reclaimed!
The report consists of:
- "Professional" report: A 4-5 sentence report on the utilisation of the awarded amount. Who won the application for what purpose? When and where was it used? Screenshot or link to any achieved ranking/placement. Photo taken at the event or any award ceremony.
- "Financial accounting": Submission of ORIGINAL INVOICES certifying payments made from the grant to the Association, within one week of the last payment.
The report must be sent to the email address msepalyazat@gmail.com, with the subject line "BESZÁMOLÓ" (REPORT).
14. Publicity
The winning applicant explicitly consents to the Association, the PTE ÁOK Physical Education and Movement Centre publishing the report and photographs prepared by them on their website, social media pages managed by them, and in the Faculty's printed press.
15. Data Management Policy (Information)
(The following sections contain detailed GDPR-related information on the Data Controller, purpose and legal basis of data management (Consent), scope of managed data, data transfer, duration of data management (6 months for non-winners, until the end of the legal relationship + required time (e.g., 8 years for accounting) for winners), data subjects' rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection), legal remedies (NAIH - Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), and data security. The legal entity responsible is Medikus SE, located at 7624 Pécs, Szigeti út 12.)
16. Other Information
By submitting the application, the applicant acknowledges and accepts that the budgetary framework allocated by the Medikus Sports Association for this call is limited. The Committee reserves the right to reject any application at any time, including cases where the application material fully complies with all requirements. The Committee will inform the applicant of the rejected application along with the reason for rejection. The Association does not provide for review or legal remedy against the rejection! The Committee also reserves the right to determine the support amount to be different from the amount requested by the applicant. The applicant acknowledges and accepts the foregoing by submitting the application.
Applicants are advised that the text of the application documentation may change due to changes in applicable legislation or other unforeseen reasons. Applicants will be notified of any changes via email.
